Star schema

A star schema is a widely used modeling method in data warehouses. The schema consists of a fact table to which dimensions are linked. The fact table stores observations or events, such as sales orders, inventory, and general ledger transactions. The dimensions provide descriptive context, such as date, product, customer, and location. By using a star schema, data can be stored efficiently and complex analyses can be performed. This makes it a commonly used method for business intelligence and analytical purposes.
